Ecological Clerk of Works

Keeping protected species and development apart can often be achieved by early intervention and advice, thus avoiding the need for ecological clerk of works.

Where this is not possible, the MKA Ecology team are suitably skilled and experienced in offering this service. We integrate with your onsite team to comply with the legal protection of the relevant species (often bats and reptiles). We brief contractors on the relevant constraints and carry out the necessary monitoring and searching, whilst the onsite works proceed. As always our team are mindful of the need for efficiency and are fully aware of construction related health and safety issues. The team are all Construction Skills Certification Scheme card holders at the appropriate level, as recommended by our professional body CIEEM.
