Landscape Institute Awards Shortlisting : Harringworth Park Wildlands
We're very excited to see Harringworth Park Wildlands project shortlisted in the Landscape Institute Awards 2023 Excellence in Biodiversity, Conservation and Enhancement category!
This project demonstrates large-scale land management initiatives across the Bulwick and Harringworth Estate, Northamptonshire for the benefit of ecology, land restoration, improved access and public engagement with the landscape of the Estate.
As part of a team – comprising Bulwick Home Farm, Natural England and Southern Green – MKA Ecology undertook all baseline ecological surveys, established baseline biodiversity value and production of a restoration masterplan for the site. We pioneered a methodology for baseline surveys that can be easily repeated by the voluntary sector to manage impacts of the restoration.
Well done to all those shortlisted and fingers crossed for the final announcement!
